It’s Alive!
How fortunate that my first WordPress blog “Now Direction” <ben.bertranddesign.com> still has the domain name available! I snatched it up at work Friday after lunch, but before I could buy it, I had a couple obstacles. My wallet was in my coat hanging across the office. And, I thought I should probably mention two years hosting with a free domain name to my wife. I bailed on the last screen of the transaction.
Boom – five minutes later, I get a $50 discount in my inbox! An automated script noticed I left early, and inquired. Then it offered the discount “good for only 24 hours” to sweeten the deal. Apache 2? PHP 5? Yep, that’s the stuff. $2.65 per month?? Hell yep.
Damn, I should negotiate this hard for everything.
