Crispin Porter + Bogusky New Beta Site

This came over the twitternet: Crispin Porter + Bogusky | Advertising & Design Factory [BETA]. There goes the neighborhood. So now that there’s a critical mass of content, portals are the new hotness? How about instead of aggregating or sifting through the “fishing net,” of content perhaps one could engage the audience/users/clients/customers in a more meaningful relationship?
I can’t wait to see what FM sells third quarter.

  • With no Flash, it has a slight layout issue where the whole container div is off a few pixels in Webkit.
    No-Flash-cause-layout-to-change-by-a-few-pixels
  • That Contact Us button is pure pride.
  • Oh my heck! These guys gave us those hideous and vapid Old Navy “modelquins.”
Pain, thy name is Crispin Porter.

This was close to promising. It’s not a a dare so much as a recruiting tool.
And if they’re recruiting tools, it might just work…

We like sharing. If we wanted to keep things to ourselves, we wouldn’t have built a site that shows you the nasty things people say about us alongside all the nice stuff. In fact, we like sharing so much we’re even going to share this site with you by making Nude, the code behind cpbgroup.com, open source. We’ll be releasing it soon so check back often. And then do with it what you like. Build a website for yourself. Add a module to your existing site. Or, if you’re into sharing too, maybe you want to develop a new module for our site. We can’t promise we’ll use it. But if it’s amazing, we promise we’ll be amazed. Because besides sharing, we also like really smart people.

RE: 2x to “Crispin Porter + Bogusky New Beta Site”

Nice to see at least one Sioux Falls person who isn’t kissing cp+p ass.

  2. Rich says:

The most admirable quality of CP+B is their consistency: They are consistently proud, and consistently proud with no clearly discernible cause.

IMO, they get their work by convincing clueless clients that it’s good. Of course, the result is that clients get exactly what they deserve. If I never see that Routan “You, from the future” commercial again, it will be too soon.
